New drama serial: Mon-e Mon-e on NTV Bangla

A new 26-episode TV serial Mon-e Mon-e will begin from January 29 on NTV Bangla.

The story of the serial revolves around Diba and her husband Dipon. The couple gets married on the day of a solar eclipse, without notifying Dipon's family. Diba decides to tackle the challenges ahead and so she goes to Dipon's house. From here the story of the TV serial unravels. To her great surprise, Diba soon discovers that she has a very unusual and quite extraordinary ability: she can read people's minds. At first she becomes confused and frightened -- to an extent that she doubts her sanity.

Soon she realises that she is not hearing things at all, these are thoughts of the people around her so she really can read minds. Everything goes fine until she discovers that her father-in-law had an affair in his younger days. From this point there are many ups and downs in the lives of Dipon and Diva.

Casting: Sara Zaker, Joya Ahsan, Shohana Saba, Tony Dayes, Masud Ali Khan, Chanchal Chowdhury and Farhana Mithu.

The play is written by Matia Banu Shuku and directed by Nurul Alam Atik.

The serial will be aired every Monday and Tuesday at 8:15pm.

Bishokoy- Drama serial on NTV Bangla

A thirteen-episode drama serial 'Bishokhoy' currently telecasting on NTV Bangla will be aired tonight at 9:45pm. The story of the serial is about Mushfiq, a PhD in Pharmacy returns to Bangladesh with the intention of serving his country. He dedicates his research activities to find drug addiction depressants. A young woman joins him as his assistant in the project. In course of time, a schism develps between him and his wife. At one point, his wife Shila hires a goon to put an end to the relationship between Musfiq and his assistant.

Bishokoy stars Azizul Hakim, Jitu Ahsan and Chandni.
The serial is written by Masum Reza and directed by Diponkor Dipon.

Itushkhani dekho - Dance programme

Dancing duo Anisul Islam Hero and Chandni, during the last Eid celebrations earned accolades as for their TV programmes. On the occassion of Eid-Ul-Azha they will perform in another special dance programme : Itushkhani dekho to be aired tomorrow at 9:50 pm. In the programme they will perform to the beats of some famous film songs. The songs are Itushkhani dekho ebong ektoo firey dekho, Gungungun gaan gahiya neel bhomra jay, O pakhi tor jontrona, Ekhaney dujoney nirjone and Bhalobashbo bashbo re bondhu. The dance numbers have been shot in and around Dhaka.

The TV play follows the fortunes of a young man, Abul Hossain. Hossain's idea of heaven on earth is 'Bilat'aka London and he spends considerable time coming up with plans that would enable him to move to London. Hussain's object of affection is Huur-e-Jannat. All is well until Jannat's London-based cousin comes to Dhaka. His wife has recently passed away and his mother wants him to remarry -- the bride of choice being Jannat, of course. The drama unfolds with Jannat in the centre. Tarin, Fazlur Rahman Babu and Chanchal Chowdhury play the lead roles.

This programme has a social perspective as well. It is one of the three TV dramas produced by the Refugee and Migratory Movements Research Unit (RMMRU) to promote safe migration. RMMRU has produced the drama under the Awareness Campaign against Irregular Migration project that is supported by the British High Commission, Dhaka. The play will be aired on the night of Eid at 8:15pm. The play is written and directed by Giasuddin Selim.
